Early discussion

Questions to raise before a pitch scope is agreed

Which information is already available about the site, drainage, proposed base, surfacing and associated works?

Which points are confirmed, and which should remain open questions for the relevant project team? These prompts are discussion points, not a statement of Fieldform's process or technical advice.

01

Site information

Which surveys, levels, ground information, services, drainage information and access details are available?

02

Proposed use

What sports use, dimensions, markings and other requirements should be discussed?

03

Possible build-up

What questions remain about formation, drainage, sub-base, edging, base layers and the proposed surface system?

04

Associated works

Will the discussion need to cover fencing, gates, equipment, lighting, paths, access or reinstatement?

System discussion

Questions about the proposed surface system

Which surface, shockpad or infill options are being considered, and what requirements apply to the intended use?

What product, maintenance or replacement questions should be put to the relevant suppliers and project advisers?

Project example

Restricted access, no-dig fencing and a coordinated pitch build-up

For one Fieldform project, access was restricted and the new perimeter fence had a no-dig requirement. The fencing was secured using an iron ring beam.

Below the playing surface, a dynamic stone layer was constructed over drainage crates. The completed scheme also included integral rebound boards, a Polytan LigaTurf Motion Pro surface and a tile shockpad.
