Rooftop Football Pitch

Following a series of design meetings and discussions with the client’s drainage consultants Fieldform were contracted by Vertec Roofing and Cladding to construct a synthetic turf football pitch on the rooftop of a new build school.

Works included:

• Installation of separation membrane
• Installation of a 40mm drainage board to provide additional stability
• Installation and grading of an aggregate regulation layer
• Installation of 85mm drainage cells
• Installation of a specialist, fire tested shock pad
• Installation of TigerTurf Evo Pro sand dressed carpet
• Infill of specialist, silica sand
• Line marking to create a small sided football pitch

Despite challenging conditions including high winds and heavy rain the project was fully completed within eight weeks. Our client, the main contractor and end users are delighted with the finished facility, this has created a vital outdoor space for the pupils of North Brent School.
