Fieldform were appointed by Dexter Sports Youth FC to transform an existing Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) into a modern, high-quality 3G football pitch that could be used for mini-soccer matches, training sessions and recreation level small sided games.

The original, macadam surfaced MUGA was in poor condition and no longer fit for use so the Club worked closely with BCP Council to secure a long term lease and developed design plans with Fieldform. The agreed scope of works included:

• Floodlights – halogen bulbs were replaced with LED and new switching gear was installed to allow for remote access
• Site preparation – the existing surface was jet washed and power brushed to increase porosity
• Macadam surface – the original surface was repaired and re-levelled in preparation for a new rubber shock pad
• Shock absorption – a high-performance in-situ rubber shock pad was installed to provide enhanced player safety and comfort
• Fencing upgrade – existing fencing and gates were repaired, replaced, and upgraded, creating a secure and safe perimeter
• Synthetic turf installation – a 3G TigerTurf synthetic carpet was installed, offering a durable, high quality playing surface
• Pitch markings – 5v5 and training lines were installed to ensure the pitch was ready for match play and training sessions
• Rubber crumb mitigation – to enhance safety and reduce environmental impact, rubber crumb mitigation was installed around the pitch’s perimeter and entrance

The result is a state-of-the-art, floodlit 3G football pitch that is available for use by Dexter Sports Youth FC and the local community throughout the year.

This upgrade has significantly improved the club’s ability to support and develop grassroots football, providing a professional environment for players of all ages to train and compete.
